Welcome to St. Thomas Orthodox Church Charlotte

Welcome to St. Thomas Malankara (Indian) Orthodox Church of Charlotte. Come and join us for worship and fellowship. We celebrate the Holy Qurbana (Eucharist) in the Malankara (Indian) Orthodox Syrian Church tradition. The Church being one of the oldest and one of the five oriental orthodox churches, was founded in A.D. 52 by Saint Thomas the apostle of Jesus Christ.

This church in Charlotte was officially started on 2013 under diocese of South West America, but was functioning as a congregation long ago itself when the early malankara orthodox settlers came here and nearby places. Rev. Fr. George Mathew has been guiding our congregation since April 2013. Under his pastoral care and leadership, we conduct regular Holy Qurbana to fulfill the spiritual needs of the parishioners. You can learn more about our congregation and its rich spiritual tradition by exploring our website.
